A waste-to-energy solution that uses patented chillers to transform agricultural waste into cooling, power, and bio-fertilizers, supporting circular economy practices and lowering operational costs for agribusinesses.
60%
of food loss occurs farm-to-market
Cooling accounts for 7% of all global greenhouse gas emissions, and it's projected to triple by 2050. Despite its importance, many regions rely on inefficient cooling systems powered by wasteful generators and environmentally harmful refrigerants, leading to higher inefficiencies and air pollution the insufficiency of cold chains contributes to food wastage, which lowers food security and puts more pressure on production.
ChillTech's technology harnesses waste heat from an operational engine or generator's exhaust, using it to power an absorption chiller.
They offer the chilled water produced for air conditioning or refrigeration as dependable cooling for homes and food storage in areas without stable, direct access to a centralized electricity grid.
1.9B liters
diesel equivalent fossil fuel replaced over 5 years
This solution provides affordable cooling that does not require burning fuel to companies and individuals.
This equitable increase in cooling supply cuts down on food loss and methane emissions from rotting food, reducing risks of famine and the environmental impact of food storage.
With a single ChillTech refrigeration unit, companies and communities can save around 50mWh of electricity per year, 13K liters of diesel, and 350 tonnes in food waste, generating stability and cost reductions, increasing profits, and allowing local communities to reinvest their capital into internal development.
